On September 3rd, 2024, the SATHI Team Mentoring Program was launched in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The pilot was presided over by the Chief District Health Officer (CDHO), District Quality Assurance Medical Officer (DQAMO), Reproductive and Child Health officers (RCHO)- District and Corporation of Bhavnagar district. Representatives from JHU-IPSI and IIPH-Gandhinagar were also present.
Attendees included twenty sub-health center teams (Community Health Officer, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife, Multipurpose Workers, Accredited Social Health Activist) from the intervention sites for Team Mentoring Program, along with their respective mentors. Mentors are a team of 10 pairs, each pair comprising of one AYUSH medical officer and one Nurse Faculty member. The event also saw the official launch of the SATHI program logo and the Facilitator Guidebook for the mentors.
