Intervention- ACT-QI launch and workshop
The ACT-QI launch and workshop were conducted over two days on 15th and 16th December 2025, marking an important step in the initiation of the intervention phase of the project. A total of 55 participants attended the launch, including 13 district-level officials – DPHO, ADPHO (FW, Leprosy, TB), Additional DM, DPM, DAM, DDM, AM-NCD, AM-QA, Epidemiologist, FLC, and DM IDSP, reflecting strong leadership engagement and administrative support for the intervention.
The workshop was attended by 27 facilitators, including block program managers, block data managers, medical officers, AYUSH medical officers, public health education officers and pharmacists, ensuring representation from multiple cadres who are part of the district quality improvement action team who will be the facilitators for the ACT-QI project.
The workshop was technically supported by the IPSI team, with members from AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, and JHU. Academic experts from AIIMS New Delhi and AIIMS Bhubaneswar led the technical sessions.
The two-day workshop focused on introducing the POCQI approach, clarifying project objectives and orienting participants to their roles and responsibilities. Participants were also equipped with knowledge and hands-on guidance to design and execute QI cycles, covering each step of the POCQI approach from problem identification and analysis to developing solutions and sustaining improvements. Overall, the launch and workshop helped build an understanding of QI processes and laid a strong foundation for the effective rollout of the ACT-QI intervention and related activities
