A two-day training program was organized in Tura, West Garo Hills, from 13th to 14th October. The Coaching Program is an 8-month program with eight modules, and the training for which will be conducted in a phased manner.
As part of the first round of training, a two-day workshop was held in Tura for 20 coaches (19 attended). The coaches were trained on the first two modules. The workshop also focused on building coaching skills and on understanding the program’s operational plan, preparing for touchpoints, and planning both field visits and virtual sessions.
Module 1 focused on understanding team structures, and Module 2 focused on understanding how the teams currently work.
The training was facilitated by Madhavi Misra and Aparajita Pathak from IPSI Delhi team along with the Dr. Jamir Tiameren and Ms. Dolly Nongbet from IIPH Shillong team. Senior officials from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya inaugurated the training program.
