Coaching Primary Health Teams – Program launch

The Coaching Primary Health Team Program is a team-based coaching program aimed at strengthening the 27 teams of healthcare providers at the Sub-Health Centre (HWC), comprising Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHP), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM), Multipurpose Workers (MPW), and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA). Through regular coach-led sessions, focusing on communication, roles and responsibilities, data use, and team collaboration, the program seeks to strengthen primary health care team dynamics.

The launch event, organized on 15th October, was inaugurated by the Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Shri Ramakrishna Chitturi and attended by Assistant Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Shri Benjamin D Tariang (MCS), Joint Director of Health Services Garo Hills Division, Dr. S. Boro, District Medical & Health Officer (DMHO), Dr. Jakrambal, Addl. DMHO, Sr. Medical & Health officers, MOs, and over 70 frontline health workers from 27 Health & Wellness Centres. Representing IPSI were Ms. Madhavi Mishra, Senior Program Officer, and Ms. Aparajita Pathak, Project Manager, joined by senior faculty & project members from IIPHS.
