The District Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) strengthening workshop was organised on 7th October, in Tura, to enhance participants’ understanding of CPHC and its core principles by promoting a uniform district-wide perspective to trace the evolution of primary health care and highlight the need for a comprehensive approach.
The one-day workshop brought together the expertise of the AIIMS New Delhi team – Dr. Mohan Bairwa, Dr. Preet Verma, and Dr. Priyanka, alongside the IIPHS project team. The CPHC orientation workshop was conducted for 24 participants with the learning objective to understand the concept of CPHC and its core principles to shift from a selective to a comprehensive approach of PHC. The workshop was conducted by a team of trainers from AIIMS New Delhi. In coordination with the District Team, the workshop covered participants from different levels of health workers from the district covering ANM, MLHP, Sanitary Inspector, Community Health Organizers, amongst others.
