The training modules for the District CPHC Strengthening Workshop have been designed as generic resources based on experiences from implementing CPHC across three IPSI states. These modules are adaptable for use nationally and can be tailored to reflect the unique needs and contexts of specific states or districts. For example, before utilizing these modules in a new region, it is recommended to review and incorporate state-specific adjustments, such as local terminology for structures and health facilities.
This workshop provides an orientation to CPHC for district-level program managers and service providers, focusing on its principles and components to ensure a consistent implementation approach.
The training comprises five modules:
- Concept of Comprehensive Primary Health Care
- Health Service Delivery: Human Resources for CPHC
- Health Promotion and Community Engagement for CPHC
- Supporting Systems for CPHC: Using Data for Decision-Making
- Essential Public Health Functions (EPHF)
The modules can be accessed individually through designated tabs, each offering presentations and group activities. The sequence, number of modules to be covered, and duration can be adjusted based on the specific needs of the target audience. Additionally, a facilitator manual has been prepared to guide the planning and delivery of the workshop. It includes detailed session plans along with instructions for group activities.
