Training of Mentors – SATHI, 6-7 February 2025
A two-day residential training of Sathi mentors was held on 6-7 February 2025.
This third phase of training for the twenty mentors covered modules five, six and seven– ‘Communicating Externally’, ‘Measures of Team Performance’, and ‘Estimating Team Performance Indicators’. The sessions were facilitated by public health experts from JHU (Madhavi Mishra, Dr Yogesh Jain, Aparajita Pathak) and IIPHG (Dr Tapasvi Puwar, Dr Anish Sinha, Dr Jimeet Soni, Archan Patel). A facilitator guidebook developed containing resources to cover information on understanding team performance indicators was shared with the mentors and also used to train.
The workshop also served as a reflective platform for mentors to discuss their mentoring efforts over the previous months. Reflection sessions encouraged mentors to reflect on their experiences with their sub-health centre team, challenges faced, and the strategies or solutions they implemented to overcome them.
The implementation of these modules is currently underway in the 20 SHCs. The next phase of training for strengthening team dynamics is scheduled in April 2025.
