She joined the Indian Institute of Public Health as an Associate Professor in January 2022. She is currently leading several projects related to health and well-being and leads the qualitative research community engagement efforts of the institute. Previously, she had worked in Martin Luther Christian University for 14 years. She was the Associate Professor with the Department of Social Work and held the position as the Dean of the School of Social Work and the Faculty of Social Sciences. She was also instrumental in setting up a research office that was aimed at enhancing the research capacity of faculty and students and initiated the specialization of public health in the Department of Social Work. Her interests are social determinants in public health, indigenous knowledge systems, and community development, which have been the focus of her research papers in particular, nutrition, indigenous populations, and food security.
