Dr. Tapasvi Puwar has been working as a Professor at IIPHG for six years. He is a public health professional with over twenty-five years of enriching professional work experience in Public Health, specifically in the fields of Maternal and Child Health, Primary Health care, Quality of Health care, Vector-borne diseases, Public Health Nutrition, Non-Communicable Diseases, etc.
By training, He is an MBBS, MD in Preventive and Social Medicine from Gujarat University India and an MPH in Health Policy and Management from UNC, Chapel Hill, USA.
He has experience working at Smt NHLM Medical College, Ahmedabad and other medical colleges in Gujarat, India, as a faculty for 10 years. He has teaching, training and research experience during his tenure. His experience also includes working at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, UNICEF-Gujarat, for more than four years in the Maternal and Child Health area. He also worked with CARE India in Bihar in a BMGF-funded project on Technical Support to the Government of Bihar for Health and Nutrition. Since last six years working with the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar. At IIPHG, he was a coordinator of the Certificate Course in Community Health (CCCH) for CHOs, where more than 5500 CHOs were trained across the state.
