Coaching Program Phase II Training

Building on Phase I of the Coaching Program for primary health teams, IPSI conducted the Coaching Program Phase II Training in Tura, West Garo Hills, in January 2026, to further strengthen the coaching approach among mentors.

The training covered three modules aimed at strengthening team functioning and shared ownership within Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs):

  • Module 3: Shared Responsibility – Teams recognise individual and shared responsibilities within their HWC and identify strategies to support their team members.
  • Module 4: Team Collaboration – Teams identify ways to effectively collaborate.
  • Module 5: Team Purpose – Teams reflect on their team’s purpose.

The training also provided space for coach pairs to reflect on their coaching experience over the previous two months, including observations from their HWC teams, engagement with the modules, implementation and logistical challenges encountered, and strategies used to address them.

A Second Facilitator Guidebook, developed as part of the series, was shared with mentors and used during the training to support them in guiding HWC teams through these modules. Implementation of these modules is now underway across 27 intervention HWCs.
