Coaching Program Phase III Training

Following the successful delivery of Module 5 across all 27 HWCs, IPSI conducted the final round of coach training in Tura, West Garo Hills, from 15th to 17th April 2026.

This phase shifted the program’s focus from team understanding to team action, covering three modules:

  • Module 6: Team Performance – Coaches guided AAM teams to assess their performance using routine monitoring indicators, helping teams identify improvements and gaps in their work.
  • Module 7: Team Planning – Introduced problem-solving tools, such as fishbone analysis, to help teams identify root causes of performance challenges, along with a structured planning process to address these issues.
  • Module 8: Communication and Wrap-up – Focused on strengthening communication skills for more effective teamwork, and included a recap of key learnings from the pilot.

Coaches were also trained on six clinical sessions as part of this round.

A central part of the training was dedicated to coaches reflecting on their observations across HWCs since the program began in October 2025. Coaches record these observations in a reflection journal designed specifically for this program, tracking improvements noticed, gaps that remain, and how teams are engaging with the modules. This journal remains central to the coaching model.

The third Facilitator Guidebook in the series was shared with coaches during the training to support them in guiding their HWC teams through the final modules and clinical skills. Implementation is now underway across all 27 intervention HWCs.
